
VIDA Launches Comprehensive EV Services to Simplify Ownership

- VIDA launches extended warranty, buyback, and charging plans for EV users.

In a big move to make electric vehicles more accessible and reliable, VIDA, the EV arm of Hero MotoCorp, has launched a complete package of EV ownership services across India. The services aim to remove key barriers like resale value, battery performance, and charging access, all of which often hold back potential EV buyers.
At the heart of the offering is a comprehensive warranty package, covering up to five years or 75,000 km, and includes 11 key vehicle components. The battery warranty extends up to five years or 60,000 km, offering much needed peace of mind in India’s challenging weather and road conditions.
To further build consumer trust, VIDA is introducing an assured buyback program. Buyers are guaranteed up to 67.5% of the original price after three years, helping reduce uncertainty around EV resale value, a first-of-its-kind move in this segment.
Customers also get access to VIDA Edge, a subscription based service that allows unlimited fast charging across a growing network of over 3,600 stations, plus over 40 digital features. Users can monitor battery health, track usage, locate chargers, and receive regular software updates via the app.
VIDA is also expanding its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, which lets customers finance the scooter and battery separately, reducing upfront costs and making EVs more affordable to the average Indian consumer.
Additional offerings like 24/7 roadside assistance for flat tires, discharged batteries, and other mechanical issues make the package even more attractive, especially for new EV owners.

The service launch is well timed with the festive season, traditionally a strong sales period for auto brands in India, and will be available through VIDA dealerships and digital platforms.
