The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has launched a new direct Flybus (Volvo Multi-Axle) service connecting Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru, with Davanagere. The service was inaugurated at Terminal 2 by Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy.

Recalling his earlier tenure as Transport Minister in 2013, Reddy highlighted that KSRTC had launched its first Flybus service connecting Bengaluru Airport to Mysuru, later extended to Madikeri and Kundapura. He said the new Davanagere route marks another milestone in promoting comfortable and reliable public transport options across Karnataka.

The minister also noted KSRTC’s continued focus on innovation, citing the corporation’s recent 'Excellence Award' from the Government of India for its Dhwani Spandana initiative in Mysuru.

Adding to passenger comfort, KSRTC will offer complimentary Nandini snack kits, including water, flavored milk, cookies, cake, and kodubale to all Flybus travelers starting November 15.

Currently, KSRTC operates 13 Flybus routes, nine to Mysuru, two each to Madikeri and Davanagere, and two Ambari Utsav services to Kundapura. The fleet covers 44 trips daily, serving around 1,050 passengers.
