The Digital India movement is bringing significant changes to the perception of the cities, urban life, and the trajectory of its development. “YEIDA is an upcoming industrial area in NCR of size 600 sq km with the potential of substantial commercial activity, as it abuts existing prolific industrial areas such as Noida and Greater Noida and the upcoming international airport ‘JEWAR’ proposed in the heart of the city. The key challenge is to rightly identify the potential and place the growth around the airport which would balance the vision of NCR at large and harmonize the surrounding industrial regions. The primary objective for Dehradun Mussoorie twin city, comprising an area of 500 sq km, is to preserve the natural resources and biodiversity existing in the region while planning for the city expansion for the next 20 years, along with tourist infrastructure and local needs. Similarly, Shimla is a tourist town of size 250 Sq.km. requires another counter magnet for future expansion. The devastating existing development needs to get some relief and new planned development shall take place in harmony with nature,” adds Ankita Sharma, Senior Urban Planner.

The company is set to work in various states and looking forward to collaborating with big firms who are ready to join hands for targeting wider scope, knowledge and resource sharing for inclusive growth. Nirav also states, “AMRUT, a scheme by the central government along with the special attention to urban planning in the recent budget enhances the opportunity to harness extensive digital database creation and systematic planning for Tier- 1 and 2 cities in India. The LAP TPS model, put forward by NIUA, further supplements to the consulting work for next decade.”
