In advertising world, oftentimes words fall short, which is when animation & moving content takes over. Building on a passion for brand communications, Shades & Motion was founded in 2018 by Sparlee Gogoi in Noida, after leaving a steady job, a team of 10 at one of the finest production houses.

Her journey began with a single iMac, Wi-Fi connection, and ₹5,000. The breakthrough came with the first major project for Dainik Jagran, which also brought her back in touch with Rohan Mukerjee, once her colleague in the same production house.

Drawn by her vision, Rohan joined as Co-Founder, bringing with him industry experience and an adventurous spirit having climbed mountains and once considered a life as a shepherd. Together, they secured 41+ clients, including Nexa, World Bank, Pokerbaazi, Jack Daniels, WHO, Parryware, and Lakme, while building a passionate creative team that has left a lasting mark.

The Journey Led by A Vision

Driven by passion, Shades & Motion approaches every project as an extended partner, not a client-vendor relationship, aiming to build a brand. Believing hands must get dirty to bring change, the team blends storytelling, sketches, and brand research, delivering impactful, show-worthy content for brands like Paytm, UNESCO, and Nexa, regardless of budgets or timelines.

Shades & Motion has established itself as a production house with a strong focus on
character animation. Offering 2D animation, 3D product design, CGI, VFX, branding, and live action, the company delivers premium work with top talent.

After six years, it has expanded globally by launching Creative Bay in Dubai, focusing on branding, social media, AI, and AR/ VR, while continuing to support brands with ATL, BTL, explainer videos, and storytelling. This move strengthens their creative reach and global footprint, including work with DOH Abu Dhabi on the branding mandate for Abu Dhabi Biobank.

“At Shades & Motion, every project starts with understanding the client’s purpose, why they want it, who it’s for, and the goals they hope to achieve. We follow the five W’s and one H, what, when, where, why, who, and how as our core research framework.

Shades & Motion leverages AI and artistic collaboration to deliver high quality character animation on tight deadlines. One of its most memorable projects was NPS film for Poker Baazi, directed by Rohan, which evolved from a testimonial into a cinematic portrayal of real players, earning heartfelt recognition from one player’s family.

Looking Ahead

Building on its momentum, Shades & Motion launched a Dubai office as ‘Creative Bay’ to tap into the region’s futuristic market of animation, AR/ VR, Gaming and AI-driven content. Continuing production in India, it is expanding internationally, partnering with a Dubai firm for global branding activations.
