Safety and quality, two of the most critical aspects in engineering and allied industries globally can only be upheld by implementing pertinent testing processes. A widely employed proactive approach utilized for ensuring quality of products and/or systems is Non Destructive Testing (NDT/NDE). The process through which materials, components or assemblies are inspected, tested and evaluated to check discontinuities or differences in characteristics without destroying its physical & chemical properties and service abilities has gained immense traction in India and globally. According to a Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection report by MarketsandMarkets, the industry is slated to grow at a CAGR of 7.24 percent from 2018 to 2024 and be worth a whopping $12.6 billion by 2014.

Building on the huge potential of the NDT market is Godavari Technical Services (GTS), a pioneer in rendering NDT services to various segments of the engineering industry such as mechanical, petroleum, electrical, aeronautical and automobile, among others. Founded in 2000 by Chandrakant Ipar, CEO and an industry veteran, GTS specializes in Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic
Particle Testing (MPT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), Visual Testing (VT) and Remnant Life Assessment(RLA)of boilers. Headquartered in Nashik with zonal offices in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Rajkot, the NDT expert organization has established a robust presence in the Indian and global market.

Our strongest differentiating factor in the industry is our commitment to work and honesty towards clients

Top Notch Technical Know-How & Know-Why
Commitment to upholding quality and integrity of work is significant in the NDT industry since the approach is proactive, rather than reactive. A strong advocator of the same, GTS ascribes to various National and International technical standards such as ASME (American Standards of Mechanical Engineering), DIN/EN Standards, ISO Standards and regulatory standards of AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board), among others. “Our strongest differentiating factor in the industry is our commitment to work and honesty towards clients. We ensure our commitment towards quality for safety with smooth services to our clients,” explains Chandrakant.

In order to build accuracy in terms of services, Chandrakant has put-in tremendous effort in staying updated with equipment, types of services and high-performance detection techniques. Leveraging its novel and upgraded equipment, the firm covers all three radioactive sources namely, X-ray, Cobalt and Iridium. “We have digital ultrasonic
equipment of well known brands with video recording facilities,” says Chandrakant. Focused on bringing quality and safety to its client products, GTS works with a host of blasting areas, manufacturers of pressure vessel & heat exchangers, power, automobile industries and refineries, among others.

Building & Sustaining Success on Foundations of Experience
A tall tree often has deep roots. Similarly, GTS was built on the foundations of experience, education and industry knowledge of Chandrakant. Hailing from humble beginnings, Chandrakant’s parents are farmers in a small village. Having worked hard with persistence, he founded and nurtured GTS to become a major NDT player. Having entered the field in 1984, Chandrakant, an ASNT NDT Level II certified professional, is well versed with the nittygritties of the NDT industry and brings the same specialization to benefit clients.

GTS has built its reputation in the industry through commitment, innovation and on time delivery of projects. This has helped the organization to gain its clients’ confidence over these years. As a result, the name GTS has now become synonymous with NDT. Armed with strong technical expertise, the firm renders undivided technical support to clients throughout the project and ensures that there is constant interaction & feedback from clients.

Passing-on the mantle into able hands, Chetan Ipar, (ASNT Lev-III), Deputy CEO, has infused a young energy into the working of GTS. Soon to complete two decades in the industry, GTS will continue to strengthen the core values and vision of its founder Chandrakant.
