The Indian VFX industry has undergone a remarkable trans¬formation, evolving from a niche segment of filmmaking into a global outsourcing hub. With its cost-effective workforce and adaptable work environments, India has become a preferred destination for international studios, especially as North America enforces stricter labor regulations. However, challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2022 Hollywood strike temporarily stalled outsourced projects, leading to significant layoffs across Indian VFX firms. Despite these industry-wide setbacks, FRAME X VFX STUDIO not only endured but thrived, leveraging strategic decisions and an unexpected surge in demand to emerge as a prominent player in the visual effects domain.

Founded in 2018, FRAME X VFX STUDIO began as a modest initiative operating from a 10x10 space with just two computers. Within a year, the studio expanded from five to over 20 systems, and today, it boasts a workforce exceeding 80 skilled professionals. “We prioritize creativity over formal education, valuing an artist’s ability to work swiftly and innovatively with VFX software”, says Nilesh Arvind Tarle, Founder & CEO, FRAME X VFX STUDIO. Establishing strong relationships within the industry has been instrumental in the studio’s success, allowing for seamless project acquisitions through robust connections with executive producers and directors.

Strategic Collaborations & Industry Expertise
FRAME X VFX STUDIO consistently benchmarks its work against past successful projects, curating showreels and demo reels to showcase its capabilities to potential clients.
Prior to undertaking large-scale projects, extensive research and development ensure that client expectations are not only met but exceeded. This meticulous approach has facilitated collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry. The studio has worked on projects for renowned Producer- Director, Prakash Jha, contributing to Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 and SANKALP. In addition, it has collaborated with choreographer and filmmaker Ganesh Acharya on Pintu Ki Pappi and his upcoming production, Sirf Tum 2.

The studio’s success is a testament to the caliber of talent it nurtures. Nilesh oversees visual supervision, ensuring top-tier quality across all projects. The studio’s COO, Anand, drives its marketing strategies, while Prashant Yadav, the On-Floor VFX Supervisor, spearheads real-time production operations. Prashant, also a coding specialist, plays a pivotal role in integrating the latest advancements in VFX tools and technologies. Regular in-studio demonstrations by leading software organizations further equip the team with cutting-edge knowledge and skills.

Industry Recognition & Accolades
FRAME X VFX STUDIO has transitioned from a backend outsourcing partner to a full-fledged independent studio working directly with top directors and production houses. A recent collaboration with Excel Entertainment marks a milestone achievement, positioning the studio in high-profile projects without intermediaries. Its outstanding work was recognized at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards, where it won Best VFX for Excel Entertainment’s Phone Bhoot. In early 2024, the company launched Hindavi Swarajya Production House Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary dedicated to creating 3D animated content for children.

Recognizing the significance of digital media in early childhood development, the company is producing engaging moral stories deeply rooted in Indian culture.
