The Entrance Automation industry has experienced immense growth over the last six years, marked by significant shifts in its technological landscape. The global entrance automation solutions market is expected to grow from $23.5 billion in 2022 to $31.4 billion by 2028. This growth can be attributed to the increasing demand for entrance automation solutions across a range of industry verticals, including commercial, residential, industrial, and government sectors. The industry also faces a number of challenges like high installation costs which pose a significant hurdle in the adoption of entrance automation solutions, another challenge lies in the complexity of entrance automation systems.

Established in 1992, Toshi Automatic Systems (now renamed to Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems) entered into a strategic partnership with Aurionpro Solutions (ASL) in 2021, making it the sole Indian business group to offer an end-to-end solution for Automatic Fare Collection in the Smart Transit and Mobility Sector.

Now operating as Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems, the company has emerged as a formidable Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in entrance automation and loading bay technology products within India. Starting its automation journey under the ‘Toshi’ brand name over three decades ago by launching the country’s first battery-operated sensor tap and now manufacturing high-end Automatic Fare Collection Gates and Ticket Vending Machines for Metro Rail, this transformation is a result of a pivotal merger with Aurionpro Solutions, along with a
deep-rooted faith in the ‘Make In India’ movement, which led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility in 2018. As an exclusive manufacturing subsidiary of ASL, the latter being a globally recognized public limited company with a presence spanning 14 offices worldwide and operations across more than 30 countries, Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems carries over three decades of experience and has honed its expertise in delivering successful projects, maintaining client trust, and adapting products to contemporary needs. “What sets us apart is our end-to-end business model, covering everything from design to manufacturing and after-sales support, all meticulously executed through in-house teams and technology”, speaks Siddhant Sachdev, Executive Director.

Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems' extensive customer portfolio boasts industry giants, while its comprehensive product portfolio spans solutions for Industrial Automation, Public Safety and Access Control, and the rapidly expanding Smart Transit and Mobility space. The leadership team of Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems comprises five distinguished members. “At the helm, we have Paresh Zaveri, a founding member of ASL and the current Chairman and Managing Director of the group. Alongside Paresh Zaveri, another Co-Founder Amit Sheth sits on the Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems board and is complemented by Sanjay Bali, Vice President of the Aurionpro Solutions Group, and head of the Tech Innovation Group, responsible for managing over 10 different business entities, including Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems. On the operational front Sanjeev Sachdev, a founding member of Toshi Automatic Systems in 1992, has steered the company as Managing Director for 31 years”. The board is rounded out by its youngest member, Siddhant Sachdev, who brings in dynamic thinking and core strategy-building experience through his past role at Deloitte Consulting.

The firm’s collective board brings a wealth of experience, totaling over 100 years across diverse industries, including banking, technology, software, manufacturing, and automation. While evolving into Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems, the company remains dedicated to preserving the original ethos and values that have been the foundation of the company. The name, Toshi, derives from a family-inspired source, underscoring the commitment to upholding these principles as it continues to provide top-notch products and solutions to valued customers.

In terms of future plans and expansion, Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems sees immense value in delivering world-class products entirely manufactured in India, catering not only to the domestic market but also extending its reach internationally. To achieve this, the firm’s teams are dedicated to developing intellectual property (IP) within offerings, ensuring that it maintains a competitive edge over the next 5 to 15 years.

“Our vision is to scale our offerings vertically, emphasizing both quality and scale in the products we bring to the market”, says Siddhant Sachdev.
