  • Travel Food Services (TFS) won a license from Cochin International Airport to operate 11 F&B outlets, a lounge, and a bar at the domestic terminal (T1) for five years.
  • The deal expands TFS’s presence to 14 of India’s 15 largest airports, with plans to bring diversified brands to enhance passenger experience.
  • Recently, TFS ended its lounge access contract with Dreamfolks and had earlier launched its IPO in July 2025, which was subscribed 3.03x.

Travel Food Services (TFS) shares will be in focus among investors on Friday, September 12, after the company announced that it has been granted a license by Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) to establish, operate, and manage food and beverage outlets, a lounge, and a bar at the Security Hold Area of the Domestic Terminal (T1).

According to the deal, TFS shall be the concessionaire of T1 with around 11 quick-service restaurants and one passenger lounge. The license period is five years with the possibility of an additional two years, subject to terms and conditions. The agreement also involves payment of license fees as well as a minimum guarantee value.

Cochin International Airport, India's eighth busiest airport, serviced over 11 million passengers in FY2024-25 and is connected by 27 airlines with direct services to several destinations. More importantly, it is also the world's first completely solar-powered airport to become power-neutral.

This victory takes TFS to 14 of India's 15 largest airports. "This is a testament to the power of the TFS franchise and technical competence. We intend to introduce a mix of diversified brands at Cochin Airport and strive to provide an enhanced travel experience for passengers", stated Varun Kapur, Managing Director and CEO, TFS.

In a different development, the company, last week, announced that it was ending its extended contract for providing lounge access services to Dreamfolks customers. "Dreamfolks was acting as one of the aggregators for banks and networks in relation to lounge access services for several lounges operated by the company". In spite of efforts at re-negotiating the commercial terms of the agreement in good faith, we could not achieve closure, Travel Food Services stated in a regulatory filing

Travel Foods launched its IPO on July 14, 2025. The IPO saw a decent response from investors, closing at 3.03x overall subscription.
