SmartSoC Solutions, a semiconductor services firm based in India, has announced a strategic partnership with Korean foundry major DB HiTek to bring high end semiconductor fabrication capabilities to Indian companies. The collaboration will help bridge the gap between India’s growing chip design ecosystem and global manufacturing expertise.

Founded in 2016, SmartSoC offers end-to-end chip design and engineering services across sectors like automotive, telecom, consumer electronics, and industrial applications. As part of the partnership, SmartSoC will act as the official design partner for DB HiTek in India. It will promote the Korean firm’s foundry services, support technical engagements, and act as a local interface for Indian clients.

DB HiTek, established in 1997, is known for its leadership in specialty semiconductor technologies including BCDMOS, CMOS image sensors, analog, power, and RF. It provides advanced node process technologies such as 180nm and 130nm, making it a strong fit for India’s rising demand for analog and mixed signal solutions.

The collaboration aligns with India’s push to become a global semiconductor hub, backed by government support like the PLI scheme. As local demand grows, this alliance will help Indian design houses access mature, proven manufacturing capabilities without the need to go abroad.

Bharath Desareddy, CEO, SmartSoC, said the partnership will reduce time-to-market and empower Indian companies with top-tier foundry services. DB HiTek’s European Sales VP Sharon Akler added that India is a key growth market and they are committed to supporting Indian innovation.
