Samsung has highlighted India’s growing role in global smartphone innovation with the launch of its latest foldable devices the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, announced that both devices are not only manufactured in India at the Noida factory but also feature significant research and development contributions from the company's Bengaluru R&D centre.

“These new phones are the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Z series designs yet. They deliver cutting-edge performance and come with seamless Galaxy AI integration”, said Park. He emphasized that the new series marks the next leap in smartphone innovation and is set to mainstream foldables in India.

Samsung’s seventh-generation foldables have seen a record-breaking response, receiving over 210,000 pre-orders in India within just 48 hours. This overwhelming demand signals rapid acceptance of the foldable form factor across the country.

Interestingly, the new Galaxy Z Fold7 is witnessing traction not just in major cities but also in tier 3, tier 4, and even rural markets a testament to rising digital aspirations and the resilience of India’s economy.

On the AI front, Park highlighted that the future lies in real-time, on-device AI that can adapt to regional needs, such as India’s linguistic diversity. “Tomorrow, AI on your device will interpret languages and provide real-time solutions, eliminating the need to memorize or seek professional advice. It will guide you toward better outcomes”, he added.
