The agreements aim to drive large-scale investments in ports, shipbuilding, logistics, and inland waterways, reinforcing the state’s position as a maritime hub on India’s east coast.

The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who reaffirmed Odisha’s vision to build a strong port-led economy. “Our goal is to transform Odisha’s ports into engines of trade, industry, and employment”, Majhi said during the event hosted by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the Indian Ports Association.
