IBM has said it has bought Hakkoda Inc., a top data and AI consultancy globally. Hakkoda will complement IBM Consulting's data transformation services portfolio by adding data platform specialism to assist clients in preparing their data to power AI-driven business operations.
Hakkoda is a leader in migrating, transforming, and monetizing data estates and an award-winning Snowflake partner. Through this acquisition, IBM will extend its ability to address the surging demand for data services and assist customers in creating optimized, integrated enterprise data estates across several business use cases for speed, cost and efficiency.
Hakkoda also adds a solid portfolio of generative AI enabled assets that have the potential to accelerate data modernization initiatives. Their industry offerings augment and supplement their consultants' in-depth experience across industries such as financial services, public sector, and healthcare and life sciences. Hakkoda will also add further to IBM's capability to apply both consulting experience and AI to clients with its AI-fueled delivery platform, IBM Consulting Advantage.
"IBM is on the forefront of the consulting sector with how we're turbocharging our consultants with AI", declared Mohamad Ali, Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Consulting. "With Hakkoda's data expertise, deep technology partnerships and asset-centric delivery model, IBM will be even more well-placed to drive value faster to clients as they transform with AI".
"Since day one, Hakkoda has been 'in the arena', not witnessing the greatest change in history but making it happen", stated Erik Duffield, Hakkoda CEO and Co-Founder. "It is due to this that we are thrilled to join IBM during this pivotal time when organizations seek a trusted advisor to assist them in modernizing their data for the AI era. IBM's legacy of innovation, their focus on discovery and extensive collaborations with clients on their most technical challenges is an ideal combination to propel Hakkoda's industry-specific modern data consulting onto the global market.".
Forecast worldwide expenditure on enterprise intelligence services initiatives is $169 billion and, with a five-year CAGR of roughly 13 percent, will reach over $243 billion in 2028, as per IDC1. Business executives must have a well-thought-out data migration plan and a next-generation, multi-use case data platform on the cloud to leverage their data.
As an Elite Snowflake partner, Hakkoda introduces hundreds of SnowPro core and advanced certifications. They are the 2024 Snowflake Healthcare & Life Sciences Services Partner of the Year and 2023 Snowflake Americas System Integrator Innovation Partner of the Year. Hakkoda is also an advanced-tier partner of AWS.
Hakkoda is based in New York and brings hundreds of experts from across the United States, Latin America, India, Europe, and the United Kingdom to IBM Consulting.
