Logistics provider Delhivery has now launched its Rapid Commerce service, which will offer sub-2-hour delivery to cater to the heightened demand for ultra-fast order fulfillment. The service, akin to q-commerce that delivers within 10-15 minutes, began from Bengaluru and is already processing more than 300 orders a day, with very good early adoption.

Rapid Commerce is especially designed for D2C brands, retailers, and e-commerce platforms. Brands can significantly cut down delivery time and satisfy their customers by availing themselves of Rapid Commerce. Traditional e-commerce takes days to deliver, whereas Rapid Commerce delivers goods to the customers within hours after placing the order in sectors such as Beauty, Apparel, Electronics, and many more.

According to Ajith Pai, Chief Operating Officer of Delhivery, the service's benefits include: "With Rapid Commerce, leading D2C brands can create a superior direct experience and greater control over customer loyalty". The service is based on Rapid Stores, in-city warehouses strategically located to enable quicker order fulfillment.

The roll-out of the service is well in line with changing consumer expectations for faster and more convenient deliveries. Delhivery will roll out Rapid Commerce to other key metropolitan cities including Hyderabad, Chennai, NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad in the coming months, as demand picks up in the quick-commerce space in India.
