Brij Hotels, a Delhi-based boutique hotel chain, has ambitious plans for expansion, aiming to have 50 operational properties within the next five years. Co-Founder Udit Kumar revealed that the company, bolstered by a recent $4 million Series A funding round, intends to add three to four properties in the fiscal year 2024-25.

Kumar emphasized the importance of providing travelers with unique experiences, noting that the company focuses on curated stays to foster connections with guests. This approach has evidently resonated with investors, as the Series A investment was led by the Manipal Education & Medical Group Family Office, with participation from prominent individuals such as Abhay Jain and Abhiroop Jayanthi.

Highlighting the company's commitment to quality, Kumar mentioned that all Brij Hotels operate on long-term leases and undergo substantial investments to meet their standards. To fuel their expansion plans, another round of funding is on the horizon within the next 10-12 months.

The global boutique hotel segment has experienced significant growth, with a 50% increase over the past three years according to a report by HVS Anarock. Anant Kumar, co-founder of Brij Hotels, noted that while traditional luxury hotels continue to thrive, boutique hotels appeal to luxury travelers seeking unique experiences. Brij Hotels currently maintains a 50-55% occupancy rate, and with travel becoming a year-round phenomenon, further increases in occupancy are anticipated.

With a focus on providing curated experiences and a solid growth trajectory supported by strategic funding, Brij Hotels is poised for significant expansion in the boutique hotel market in the coming years.
