Airbus inked a service agreement with Heligo Charter Private Limited for six Airbus H145 helicopters utilized in both offshore and onshore operations in India. The comprehensive by-the-hour services contract, HCare Initial, was signed at Wings India 2024, the largest civil aviation event in Asia. This five-year contract enables Heligo to enjoy the advantages of Airbus' HCare Initial program, allowing prompt replacement of scheduled and unscheduled components within 24 hours at a fixed rate per helicopter flight hour.

This arrangement will reduce Heligo's maintenance expenses and the necessity for maintaining a regular inventory, ensuring improved fleet availability for efficient operations. Nayan Jagjivan, Chairman of Heligo Charters Private Limited, expressed pride in being the first to provide Airbus Helicopters' 5-bladed H145 fleet for ONGC's offshore operations in India. Once these helicopters are delivered this year, Heligo will boast the largest H145 fleet in India, catering to both offshore and onshore missions. Jagjivan highlighted the H145's suitability for Indian conditions, emphasizing its modern, multi-role design with exceptional performance and operational economics.

Sunny Guglani, head of Airbus Helicopters for Airbus India and South Asia, commended the Heligo team on securing the recent offshore contract for the H145s. He emphasized that the recently signed HCare Initial by-the-hour contract with Heligo for their H145 fleet aims to ensure efficient operations and maximize helicopter availability. The H145 is the newest addition to the company's twin-engine rotorcraft product range, known for its designed-in mission capability and flexibility, particularly in challenging high and hot operating conditions. With its compact size and spacious, adaptable cabin, the helicopter is well-suited for navigating complex environments, such as oil and gas helidecks.
