In a major addition to Goa's air connectivity, Air India Express has begun operations from Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa, effective April 15, 2025. The Tata-owned airline already operates from Goa International Airport (GOI) and is now increasing its presence in the state with over 115 weekly flights.

The airline has launched new domestic flights connecting North Goa with Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Indore. Of these, there are twice-daily flights between North Goa and Delhi, daily services between the region and Bengaluru and Indore, and six days a week flights to Chennai, excluding Wednesdays.

Air India Express will expand its network from GOX further in May. From May 3, weekly flights will operate from North Goa to Hyderabad and Kuwait. Direct international services to Abu Dhabi will begin from May 5 and will operate twice a week. The airline has reaffirmed that it will add frequency on the Hyderabad and Kuwait routes in the second week of May.

With the new additions, Air India Express currently has more than 40 weekly flights from Manohar International Airport, besides its 75 weekly flights from Goa International Airport. This addition represents a significant part of the airline's overall expansion plan, looking to enhance regional and international connectivity.

The airline highlighted its desire to address increased travel demand and enhance Goa's status as an important tourism and business destination.
